I have 2 Gateway PC's, both loaded with Home. I want to take adavntage of
Pro's networking capability so I bought Pro today. 2x $199, on both machines
after choosing the upgrade path, I'm getting invalid PID? both 25
alphanumeric sequences were checked and failed a bunch of time.

Does anyone here know how to fix this? I know both Home copies are OEM
registrations via Gateway.

Thanks!

Pro doesn't have much more networking capability.
Unless you are on a Domain, I wouldn't have spent the $398.
I have a 10 machine network at home and 7/10 machines use Home without a
problem.

As far as your invalid product keys...
Did you turn off your antivirus before starting the upgrade?

Yes, to the shutdown of antivirus software.
In addition to networking there are other issues I'm trying to correct.

So my technet search revealed the same things posted here.
Thanks for the help anyway "Notme"
