Sound coming from both Speakers and Headphones at the same time!!!

HEy!!!

I have searched alot on multiple forums regarding this! Its hard to believe that nobody has a credible solution to this simple problem!!

I have dell inspiron N4030 and when i plug in headphone in the stereo jack , sound keeps on playing from both speakers and independent headphones at the same time!! This really is annoying! I have tried refreshing the driver software , have installed IDT HD audio drivers, still of no avail . Please help me out!!

I know it has something to do with default device , i have changed speakers to default device but still no joy!!

Help me out!!

More about sound coming speakers headphones time
  1. If you connect the headphones to one of the stereo jacks then they will act just like a speaker is pluged in. That's why they have headphone jacks that are for just headphones and when you plug them in it cancels out the speakers.
