I bought an Alpha Hub from a local Computer Recycling Store (which has now gone out of business?/closed) and seeing as how i can't use this as a regular 30 Port USB Hub (which i assumed what it was and what it was used for from the seller) i bought it for a mere 15$ about a year and a half ago and i can't seem to use it for anything other than a Charger for any of my USB devices (but no data)
after later research it turns out it was meant solely for the purpose of communication for the alpha smart 2000/3000's and nothing else.
What i want to know is if there is a work-around this and make it a regular usb 2.0 hub.
i figured the main use i would get out of this is that ill never have to buy another PCI Express USB card just to add more ports. (i'm already using the majority of my ports and i have x2 PCI USB card both with 7 usb ports on them and i still have a shortage of it. including the 6 -or 8) on my motherboard)
so is there any special software to work around this limitation or some kind of a hardware 'hack' to bypass this?
(since i can't get my money back and i'm sure i sure i won't go any where if i call the company)
