I know this is off topic of this actual forum - but after several hours my original post elsewhere had NO views at all.

Who would you recommend to buy a custom-configured PC from? I'm aware of companies like Alienware, Falcon Northwest & G-Machines.

Believe it or not - my company is willing to buy me whatever PC I want (I won a contest). Normally I build my own machines - but that isn't an option this time.

Besides the ones listed above - who has the holy grail of good prices, the right components and good service?

Lead me not into temptation. I can get there myself.

I'd screw them for the most expensive PC I could find, sell it and build yourself one... If you'll have to use it at work, keep the case and monitor, and they'll never know the difference!

But seriously, I haven't heard of anyone apart from AlienWare. Some PC Mags I've read seem to think they're the Mutt's Nuts.

oh yeah - any spare jobs where you work? I'm getting annoyed with working on a PII450.... :(

I just configured a $14,649 system :)

But Of course I selected EVERY option, stuff I wouldn't even use.

Alienware(altohugh i heard there costumer service is terrible and there quality isn't as good as these other two), Falcon Northwest, and Voodoo PC(I heard has the best costumer service and quality - and i think the most expensive too but not sure.
