HDMI Cord Problems

Hi,

I have an HDMI cord that seems not to work. I'm trying to hook it up from my computer to my receiver, but there's no signal from either end. Now I know it's the cord, because I tried plugging it into my parents blu-ray player to their T.V. and it does the same thing. And all of the pins seem to be in good condition, and it shows no damage, so I'm just wondering what's going on. Is it fixable, or do I need to buy a new cord?

Just-in-case-specs:

PC:
Dell Insiron 531s With Radeon HD 5400 Graphics Card (HDMI and DVI ports)

Receiver: Sony STR-K71000 Digital Audio/Video Control Ceter

Well if it doesn't work in two places and you're sure you're setting everything up properly its a bad cable most likely.

You can get a cheap one off monoprice
