check out http://www.newegg.com before the weekend is up, 1700+'s going for $42, no shipping cost. Pretty good deal if you ask me, I might pick one up for the sake of having an extra one :)

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...

You have so much money to spend! Give it to me, it would be good upgrade from my Duron 1 GHz  (of course with suitable HSF, I won't be able to find/buy an appropiate HSF for T-bred "B" here.)

Actually I tested my mod'd XP1700+ in the place of my nephew's 900 Mhz Duron. To my surprise it ran at just about the same temperatures (44 degrees idle, 50 load). Thing is, I was running the Tbred B at 2000 Mhz (20 x 100, XP2400+) with a low-mid HSF.

Durons run as hot as Thunderbird Athlon (both spitfire and morgan core)

True, but my point was that the cooler you are using on your Duron you might actually find sufficient for a Tbred B XP1700+ because Durons ran so hot and needed fairly decent cooling.

yeah, they're as hot as T-bird, and have less die space, so they're harder to cool and need good cooler

Would anyone happen to have an extra t-bred B? I bought one from someone on here but they never came through. If anyone has one please E-mail me at Taoranger4@aol.com
And if anyone has water cooling that would be interested in selling it I would appriciate it. Or an antec case I dont need a p/s but will take it if comes with it.
Thanks everyone
