Dell insperon E1705 overheating issue

I am just wondering if there are alot of people out there with Dell Insperon e1705s with overheating issues?

I replaced both the CPU fan and the GPU fan thinking they went bad, but the problem continued.
the fans would just stay off until the machine would get very hot & finally blue screen.
My solution was to download Dell fan control 3.1 from Christian Diefer. it allows me to force the fans on after i have logged into it.

Is this a wide spread problem or what? im not really interested in replacing the main board on this laptop.

Sounds like bad fan controllers to me. Have you contacted Dell about the issue?

No, I have not contacted Dell, it is 3 years old, is the fan controller a separate component that can be replaced or do you need to replace the entire Mainboard?
