Why is there a black line on my lcd tv

I have a Dynex LCD flat screen tv with a black line going across the top, what's going on with the tv

Is there a black line at the top and at the bottom ?
If not then the screen may be off center and you need to make an adjustment in the settings of the tv. Select the tv's onscreen menu and look for the screen positioniong option and the thing you will have is basicly like a box that represents your screen and you want to make it fit on all sides inside the viewing area.
