Keyboard unresponsive vista

after vista boots up it goes straight to windows boot manager and freezes up, and then im not able to select any of the options.

Have you made any hardware changes (i.e. memory, HDD, etc...) or major software changes before this started happening, i.e. installed new devices, etc...? If it is software related, your best chance of success would be to try a system restore from the boot menu. If you have the vista cd, insert it and boot directly to it via the boot menu.
