Corsair recommends that we not use the Low-Latency memory modules (includes twinx) with the canterwood chipset. Instead, get the XMS PC3500 memory modules.

This is a terrible setup so you should give it to me kidding~~~~~ how much is this monster??

Athlon 64......nForce 3, it sure sucks when you can't afford things. One day Operton Servers will cost less than $4000 so everyone can get one
I wouldn't go with the plextor, they are overrated(!) and overprised. TEAC has better average seektimes and thus are faster, but also expensive (although the cost dosent seem to be a factor for you). The speed ratings are less important then the seektimes.
Also if you have the cash nothing beats SCSI when its about CPU utilization, so again, if you have the cash the system disk ought to be a scsi. Atleast check it ought, and Tekram cheap scsi controllers are just as fine as Adaptec as long as you dont plan to linux.
Corsair recommends we not use low latency platinum modules with canterwood eh? Hmmm, do you have a link for that?
You can get it to work but they still don't recommend the low-latency modules for any motherboard with the Canterwood or Springdale chipset. TwinX is two low-latency modules tested together.(<A HREF="http://www.houseofhelp.com/v2/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13126" target="_new">Link</A> )

Well, considering that computers loose half their value in 6 months I think you are over-buying. Buy some more pricy parts and use the leftovers to upgrade your system in a year or so...
Have put the PC together, it turns on for about 2 seconds then imediately powers down again.
I've tried disconnecting everything I can think of but it's still the same.
