Sound problems on pc

Hi everyone, I have problems with my sound. There is no sound coming from my speakers or my headset. However, sound is coming from my USB headset. The headsets with 2 plugs ( mic and headphone) do not give sound when I try to use them. Any ideas what the problem might be?


P.S I have VIA High definition Audio. Thanks for reading.

That can be a problem with the Via driver, or the motherboard, or the settings of the software
double click the speaker icon in the lower right hand desktop
check your audio settings, look carefully for the audio output selections

another way is to delete the via driver if it will delete, turn off the antivirus and firewall, load the latest driver from the motherboard manufacturer, restart, turn the antivirus and firewall back on.
if you have multiple security programs running at the same time, you will need to turn them ALL off before loading a via driver

And we do not know what the make and model of the motherboard is (?) but on some boards you will have to change the board before it works right.
