I'm maybe lookin to upgrade my rig in one way or another but wasnt sure if i should go for new mobo and shise or just stick with something simple. Rig =

The whole point of this is i'm buying win XP, even though i already have it (if ya know what i mean). Online retailers sell it for $150 if i buy piece of hardware. Otherwise i have to buy it from BestLie for $300. Might go back to college for computer animation too, so keep that in mind. So more ram (somethin simple) or mobo (somethin more)?

P.S. My dvd-rom no longer plays dvd's anyone got any ideas? Cd's and everythin else play like a charm.
