Before You Test & Suggested Test Plan
jpishgar
Before you test, please read this through for a good idea about what we're hoping to gain from this limited beta.
When you first access the beta, please make sure to write down your first impressions. Do you like what you see? What specifically do you like or not like about your first encounter with the new forum platform? User first impression is the most important factor for us in this.
Register for a new account and sign in from any page, or while posting a new thread or answer.
Change your password, email and other account information. Upload a custom Avatar.
Log in with your current account (that you already had). Has your information been ported over to the beta? Check your private messages, flags, reputation data and badges. You'll note some changes, but it should be in line with your activities.
Post new threads, using the short form in the right-hand column and the full edit form.
Post a reply, edit your reply, quote a message and try out some BBcode.
Add a few tags to a thread you create.
After creating the thread, try going back and adding new tags.
Review avatar and information for other users that display in the pop-up over their avatar.
Try using the Report Abuse function to set an alert for moderators.
Check our the new profile pages, examine your profile, badge page, badge directory and billboard.
Review the emails you received when you created and confirmed your account.
Review email received when someone responds to your thread.
Moderators: Try using the new moderation functions under your profile, and in the threads and posts.
Moderators: Delete, restore, edit, and sticky a thread.
Moderators: Try banning a user.
Please provide your feedback in a New Thread here under the Forum Beta Test section, and let us know your experiences.
Thanks again for helping out with this, and with your assistance we'll make this a great transition and a much better platform than we currently have.
-Joe

I would like to be able to delete my post (not others posts) in case I change my mind. The option could be available for let's say 5 minutes after posting.
Now I can see the badges in the profile.
After editing the message and clicking Submit your reply, you have to refresh the page for seeing the edited post (sometimes).
The "No thread" now works. -
Hey Joe, I think you forgot to put the b for bold at the start here
