I am bout to order a crap load of parts to finish building my first computer!! I'm getting:
2800+ AMD Athlon XP barton,
80gb western dig HD
some artic silver 3
Geforce FX 5200 8x AGP
some various fans
Antec True 430W
(heatsink)
for the Heatsink I was thinking a VANTEC Aeroflow, but I herd that sometimes it doesn't get recognized on boards with FOC (like my SOYO KT400 ULtra Dragon Plantinum has)I would love to get the areflow but I want it to run first off! anyone using a Aeroflow plz tell me that isn't true!and was wondering what Heatsink would yall use to cool a 2800+ Barton, and if you want to throw in some comments on if you think my computer will run good with my parts i"M getting that will be cool to, I hope it turns on when everything is put on. :)

IF ANYONE IS RUNNING A 2800+ AMD ON A KT400 SOYO BOARD WITH A AEROFLOW *odds very unlikely everyone uses ASUS, I didn't know to much bout them when I ordered the board or else I would be to* PLZ TELL ME HOW IT RUNS! OR DIDN'T RUN!

To allow for future CPUs and to get best cooling possible you should get the Thermalright SLK-900 and a good low noise fan. It is pure copper and bolts on to the mobo. Just make sure that you check out their motherboard compatibility page first.

Otherwise I have got a spare Silverado to sell if you want it. It has 2 twin exhaust fans on top like the aeroflow and has 25g of pure silver on the base!!

4.77MHz to 4.0GHz in 10 years. Imagine the space year 2020 :)

check out the zalman website.. i use a zalman cnps6000cu. pure copper hs with an adjustable speed 92mm fan. very quiet even at full speed and my oc 2400 doesnt go above 38c at full load. its cheaper than the slk900 and the aeroflow. if you want cool and very quiet its about the best out ther that i have seen
