When I start up Windows XP Pro, after the boot-up screen, the Welcome screen
shows up, but only "Windows XP" shows up, and then the computer freezes. This
happened after I installed another operating system on a different partition.
Can this mean that my XP Pro is messed up, or is a file misplaced? I booted
XP Pro in safe mode and it told me about a file to press a key to not load.
Is that the file?

What do you mean by that?
And about the safe mode area, Windows tells me to press any key to not load
a specific driver file.
Please help me find something to fix this.

We cannot help you fix this because you haven't given us enough
information. What was the other operating system you installed? Where
did you install its boot loader? Give the exact error message you get
when trying to load Windows.

I installed Beta 1 of Windows Vista on another partition. I created another
partition using PartitionMagic 8.01. When I start up my Windows XP
Professional, it loads fine but when the screen shows up(the blue
background), 'Windows XP' and the Windows flag symbol fade in to the screen,
but nothing else appears.

I'd suggest you ask on the private Beta Vista newsgroups. Obviously the
boot loader for Vista has somehow hosed your XP install, or perhaps
Partition Magic doesn't play nice with Vista and the partitions have
been damaged. I really don't know. You would have gotten information
about how to access the newsgroups for the Vista Beta when you got the
Beta.

Like Malke said that when you downloaded Vista Beta1 you would have been supplied a Private Beta group for it. Since you are a Beta tester then you must know how to access it. That is why I wrote in my first post to your issue
"And of course you are in the know."
