I switched my CPU fan to a L1A panaflo , my pc is virtually silent , ( just noticed that my mouse clicks )
of course raising CPU temp approx,was 42c / 50c idle/load
now 46c / 54c idle /load
its a XP2100 t/b/b on a A7N8X
I plan on upgrading just the processor in about 6-8 months , do you forsee me shortening its life that drastically , I want to use this processor for spare system after upgrade , ( then running it cooler)
I really enjoy the Near Silence

Well your CPU definitely won't die before your next upgrade but you'll kill the overclockability, and when people have decided to get new CPU in a short while, they will insanely oc their CPU to squeez every drop of juice from the going away CPU.

It is morally wrong to allow suckers to keep their money
