Vista problems booting

i have a hp laptop...one of my hd drives went bad ..it has two in it...i put the second drive or other drive that was in it in the first slot and loaded windows vista...now evrytime i restart the computer it requires the windows disk to start windows....it say no o/s when it isnt in..any one help with sloving this or what causes it

Go into BIOS (or Setup) when you first power up the computer as you're greeted by the HP splash logo (most likely have to press F2, F4, F8, F10, or F12 to bring it up). In BIOS, go to the Boot Option. Change up the boot order so that the drive you installed Windows on is the second to boot. Make sure your CD/DVD drive is first (saves an extra step if you have to reinstall Windows)
