HI All, I have recently purchased my dream machine,
MSI 875p MB, 160 GB Segate SATA DRIVE, GFTI4800SE, 1GB DDR400 Kingstone, and a 3GHZ 533FSP(800FSP was note avaliable). anyway .. the motherboard needed a bios update beacuse the bios that came with it was unstabel. after the update i installed corecell MSI soft for monitering the CPU temp ( which is usually constant at 59c-63c.. is that normal

what is the normal temp for a 3GHz 533 Cpu

Its certainly not that high !!!

Erm want to give some more information on how you set it up? what heatsink you ar using for it etc :/ there is a possibility that the temp sensor diode is just extreemly wrong. Check what it says the temp is in the BIOS.

thanks, i did check the bios for the cpu temp and it was 55c, which is around 5c less than what the msi soft said. anyway it is summer here so i guess i am ok . also i was able to make the msi soft increase the fan speed to max and i got 55c which is around 5c less also.. i guess i have everthing in proper order. i am using the intel heatsink and fan that came with boxed cpu.

thanks a lot
