Currently I have a 9800 GT which does not use dual link DVI, only VGA and regular DVI.

I am getting a Acer 120 Mhz screen in a few days and I'm wondering if I will be stuck with 60 mhz until I get a better GPU?

Hi.

The 120Hz only depends of your monitor, not from your GPU. So, with your current GPU you can get the 120HZ of your monitor.

Your 9800GT should support dual link DVI, though you may need a different cable.

(Oh, and I very much doubt you're getting a 120MHz screen. You probably mean 120Hz)
