I am building a new system and am looking at these products to put together: Soyo - P4X400 Dragon Ultra - Socket 478 ATX Motherboard with HTT, Audio, USB, AGP 4X/8X and RAID Support, XFX Geforce4 Ti 4200 128MB DDR TV Out Video Card, Ultra Extreme Memory 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz, Intel Pentium 4 2.5GHz / 512K Cache / 533MHz FSB/ Socket 478 / Processor, Avus Black 52x24x52 Internal IDE CD-RW with Nero Software, IBM 80GB EIDE / 7200 RPM / 2MB / 8.5ms / ATA-100 / Hard Drive, 500W power supply, Zip Drive, 3.5 drive and liquid cooling system.
Are these products compatible?
Is liquid cooling efficient for this system?
Is there anything else that I am missing?
Thanks!

That looks alright compatibility-wise. The liquid cooling system will work alright, but maybe a bit of overkill. Then again for the future and if you plan to overclock (as the ultra extreme memory implies), it'll give you a nice temp cushion, especially with the fast hard drive and big power supply. And the only thing I see missing from the list is a modem or NIC.

Me machine in me profile.

HiHowAreYou?

Well the componets look good but for a P4 2.5 the water cooling gig is a bit extreme with those current parts. If i were you i would get a different Mobo that supports either the 865( i recommened) or the 875 chipset and get a P4 C processor. You can easily get those for not that much more money than what you are spending now. I would get the P42.6C since that is close to the 2.5 that you wanted. About the memory get some Corsair pc 3500 and use that if you are going to overclock. Because the 800 mhz FSB isnt that compatible with low latency memory.

But if the items you listed is what you want to stick with then go for it and have happy times but i would highly suggest changing the MoBo and the CPU to waht i suggested and also check out the new case/watercooler article that is posted on the front page of THG.

If you get springdale or canterwood, get two memory modules in order to benefit from Dual-Channel DDR.

Unless you plan to OC your CPU or under-clock your memory- you could go slower ram to save you money

Other than the junk board everything look great! Have you considered one of the inexpensive 865PE motherboards?
