I am really interested in getting a new processor and a new video card.

I was thinking like a 1.6 ghz AMD athlon. and like 512 ram, and a new ATI Radeon 7000 I don;t know if my case or motherboard can support it.

I think the name of my mother board is

Motherboard: 950MHz Athlon Processor and Motherboard (Jabil) Drivers

Processor: 950MHZ ATHLON PROCESSOR AND MOTHERBOARD (JABIL)

Memory: GW 128MB Memory Module Upgrade

Hard Drive: WD 20GB IDE 5M U100 Hard Drive Upgrade

Video Card: 32MB Nvidia GeForce2 MX Drivers

CD-ROM: CDR IDE HLDS 20X/48X Upgrade

Sound Card: PCI Sound Card Drivers

Modem: HPNA/V.90 Combo Card Drivers

Floppy Drive: 3.5 1.44 MB Floppy Diskette Drive

Can someone help me out here and figure prices?

Is your computer Gateway?

If so here is the fastest processor that you can put in it is 1GHz (<b>Slot</b> A), most ram (3x256) 768MB SDRAM (100MHz), and any AGP 2X card which the Radeon 7000 is. Actually, I believe all the way through Radeon 8500 are 2X/4X.

Info on MB here: <A HREF="http://support.gateway.com/support/techdocs/references/motherboard/0aasn/0aasn.shtml" target="_new">Gateway Support - Motherboard References</A>

What I would do: build a new computer.
If not just add a 256MB stick of ram in there for now. ~$25
