Adding something to quick launch task bar

does anyone know how to add something to the quick launch task bar? my
sister used to have her AIM shortcut there, and now it's gone..she'd like to
get it back down there. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

drag the link from the start menu into the quick launch area

Try:

1. Right click on the 'Quick Launch' bar
2. Select 'Open Folder'
3. Rigth click in the opened folder and select 'New Shortcut'
4. A dialougue will to add a shortcut to 'AIM' or whatever you like


or Try:

1. Right click on the 'Quick Launch' bar
2. Select 'Open Folder'
3. Place a short to 'AIM' (or whatever) in the folder opened in step 2
a. click 'Start'
b. click 'All Programs' and navigate to 'AIM'
c. right click 'AIM' and select 'create shortcut'
d. Move the 'AIM' shortcut to the folder opened in step 2
