I am finally getting this thing back together and its doing things i didn't see before. Its a XP1700+ palamino on a GA7DXR+ mobo. I had to replace my little 300watt p/s with a 460. It had a blown cap. anyway .. Iset my raid up with 2 wd30's and windows xp pro.i started playing with voltage and clock speeds and ram settings in the bios. Now this reads as a xp2000+ @1640. most of this was by setting the external clock. I don't seem to be able to set the multiplier for some reason. I could use a little insight if possible.I have read some about palamino's and t-bids and everyone seems to be on a different sheet of music. Everything is running fine and i have only seen the temp go as high as 48c. I would like a little more out of this if possible.... SOMEONE???????????? I am fairly new to this stuff but i'm not an idiot!!!!!!

yes i raised the fsb but could only keep it stable up to 149. Maybe if i get some cooling tabs on my memory i can keep it a bit more stable. I don't know for sure, But I am having fun playing with this. I really wish They would hurry up and get my other mobo back to me. A-Bit BE6II v 2.
I have a PIII 600eb just anxious to get back to work. That is a great system too. At least for a po'boy LOL

AFAIK, Palomino can't overclock too high. I used to have XP1600+ on Abit KX7-333R. I could run it as high as 168MHz FSB but couldn't get it run stable at higher than 1680MHz no matter what I tried. Anyway, your mobo is AMD760, and it can't run FSB too high (I also have Abit KG7-RAID AMD760 chipset too and it cannot even post at 150MHz FSB with Palomino XP1600+).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
