During back up files are skipped, how to delete them

I use the win 7 backup feature. It completes and lists files that were skipped 'because they are corrupt'.
The files do not exist on the hard drive.

Note: My hard drive was failing so I purchased a new drive.
I backed up the old drive and restored to the new hard drive.
Now the new hard drive reports the same bad file as the old hard drive.

in chkdsk stage 4 of 5
ChkDsk /r generates the error: the disk does not have enough space to replace bad clusters detected in file 93923 of name \$recycle.bin\S-1-5~3\$RD2VG9F

I am unable to locate the file. the disk as 160 GB in use on a 750GB drive.
