OK!
1: Use the Nforce APU soundforge instead of the Audigy. Less strain on the CPU (according to THG) =better performance.

2: I would go with a TEAC (better accestime) or a LITEON! The plextors are overpriced & overrated!

3: Why the retail CPU if you are going to use a Zalman?

4: GL

I think Turk hit em right on. Especially on optical drives; the big name brands are most definately not worth the money.

I've come to realize that anyone who bought a 2800+ needs to get hit on the head with a tack hammer because the 2500+ can reach that speed with ease for cheaper.

Two things I note, 1) Get a lite on 52x24x52x (or a 48x12x48x which is known for its ability to rip/burn copies of damn near anything... I almost got a pizza to copy once infact... but it seems that black olives aren't supported for some reason...) 2) Use the onboard sound *or* get an audigy2, the audigy1 isn't so hot... eats alot of cpu.

Well I already have the plextor drive and the audigy from my comp now and just moving those over. I looked at that new digital sound set on the MB but not to confident in its EAX capabilities with a 5.1 THX set. My reason for the 2800 chip is I am still debating on weather to overclock or not and plus Im thinking of keeping my box quiet as possible and Im feeling a little lazy lately. But I still need to research the audigy 1 flaw and way in the worth before I get the audigy 2.
