Honestly, I wouldn't purchase a headset for music production. Most of the gaming headsets you find today are very colored in order to "improve" the sounds that a lot of games emphasize. If you are able, I would recommend purchasing a good set of flat, uncolored, monitor headphones and a separate mic.
However, if you absolutely need a headset for whatever reason, then you are definitely looking to spend a little bit more money. Assuming price is not a concern, one of the most well reviewed headsets I can think of is the Sennheiser PC350, however I'm sure there are other considerable options. Though, I still wouldn't recommend these for music production.
