One of my programs (google earth) opens up with right and bottom edges
hidden enough that I can't grab on to them to resize the window. Are there
any key strokes to correctify?

Grab it by the titlebar and drag it to the right and down. Then resize from
the left and the top until you can drag the whole window into view. Or you
could just double click the title bar to maximize the window.

Thanks, that did the trick, I didn't know about the titlebar.

Perhaps you should take advantage of the guy's TV offer for a Windows
instruction CD. It will only cost $6.95US for shipping and handling.

It teaches all about XP from the elements of a window on up.
