Sound System to Pc

Hey folks

iv got a lovely set of speakers and a sound system and i would love to have this running on my pc so i can listen / play games through the speakers. how do i connect the sound system to the pc ? my ports are basic on the computer (Green, Blue and Pink)

If you list your pc's motherboard and your sound system, and anything additional like a sound card, I'm sure somebody would be able to help you.

I'm trying to find out how to get true 5.1 Surround Sound out of my Sony HT-SS370 with my pc, so we have similar questions.
