I knew I would have to try it....after selling my watercooled p4..I am at it again....with stock cooling lol...anyways

On my new Epox 8RGA+ mobo and an Athlonxp 2500+ I easily hit 11*200mhz (xp3000+) with stock cooling and voltage at ddr333 cas 2.2.2.5...with kingston hyperx pc2700....how much higher could I expect out of this processor at stock specs??

I will add tho that my cpu temps were around 47C after some light game play and surfing....how high should I let these temps get?

My mobo has the three prong hsf clips and not the screw mounts....what is the best hsf combo for this chip?....I was looking at the thermalright slk800A (which has the clip type heatsink)....what size fan should I get?....capacitors are decently close to the ziff socket. sorry it has been a while since I have used air cooling

Thermalright SLK800 and Vatec Aeroflow are two best recommended HSF for Athlon XP overclocker. But they are hell noisy too.

It is morally wrong to allow suckers to keep their money

Stock cooling you say? weird...

Anyways, it would help to know a little more about your system, what mobo at least. If yoo want to know OC rates, check out the overclockers database here

yes I was pretty shocked....I didnt know if it was a feat to hit those speeds at all stock voltage and with a stock hsf or not....

I checked out the chart you sent me and my mobo ( Epox 8RGA+) is second and the list and I have the same cpu as he does (same letters)....so I might have a pretty mean little overclocking setup....I just ordered the slk800 heatsink and a panaflo 80*80*25 fan....I am also using 2 sticks of kingston hyperx pc2700 at cas 2-2-2-5
