Got back in the house a while ago... Been running the sled all day & half the night... What a storm we had!!! We had 11 1/2 inches by 5 & it was still snowing.. Broke a record for the date...
The wind came up & drifted everything shut around here... The east / west roads got hammered with drifts... Perfect for Busting Power!!!!! 
We went out on the country roads & started drift hopping... It was a flat out blast!!! Loft off a 8 or 10 foot drift & land in another one!!!! Whoosh the sled would sound landing in the power....
We'd run 6 or 7 miles like that.. Go either north or south a mile, & get fresh drifts again, going back the other way... We ran grids like that all day...
I'm about wore out... Sled is covered with snow... My clothes should thaw out by morning...
Drift Hopping is such a blast though!!!! I've got that good kind of sore... Tipping a few Coors to ebb back the adrenaline enough so I can get to sleep tonight...

We couldn't do any, really... The wind chill was below zero all day & we had wind gusts up to 50 MPH... It wasn't a good day to take out the camera...
The wind was so strong, when you'd cut a drift, the down wind side of you & the sled would be covered in snow.. It was hard keeping the helmet so you could see out of it.. Lot of wiping it all the time.. I didn't get cold, but the vision was a pain...

That sort of a day would kill me. I wish that my body could take that sort of thing but it got too banged up years ago. Sounds like a blast though. Glad that you had fun and got home safe.

It was fun last weekend... As fun as it can be around here.. I'd still rather be riding trail in the UP..
Funny thing about my age.... I don't feel it at all, for the most part.. I still feel like I did when I was 18... I just wonder where the time went..

Too bad you can't play with the toys out there... Someday, I'll have to quit playing with the big boys, but not today.. I don't exercise in a gym or anything.. I just work hard & I'm not afraid to do about anything... I guess that's how I stay in shape, beats me...
