Hi all,

I am using a Windows XP Pro SP2 machine without any problem. However,
after I install a VGA monitor switch box between the PC and the monitor
and then restart the PC, the screen turn blank after it show the
Windows XP logo. The harddisk is still working but there is no screen
display. The monitor power LED is blinking. I think that it should be
the Monitor synchronization problem. I had tried another brand of
switch box and monitor but the problem was still exist. There is no
problem if I use direct connect the PC to the monitor even with the
switch box's extension cable. However, there is no any problem when I
use a Windows 2000 machine with this switch box. Does anyone kown why?
Thanks.

When I direct connect the PC to the monitor and startup the Windows XP,
I notice that after it display the Windows XP Pro logo, it will turn
blank and the monitor will have no signal for around 1-2 seconds and
then it will display the login prompt. I think it is doing some
checking or synchronization process. Can I disable it? Thanks.

Regards,
Dovelet
