loading xp pro

okay I am new at this, so my question is how do I get xp pro disk to start copying files to c drive on my laptop? My hd is formated, I am just unsure of the commands to exe in dos...please advise...

I advise booting from the XP CD

Your laptop can do that, right?

I got it, but thanks for replying...

I've got the c@#p ed, so for some reason it would not autorun on boot, think it's missing some dos files or something.
My resolution was to load xp home oem (legite) and then run xp pro in windows and do a fresh install from that point, oh well, it works...

For future reference, you need to go into your BIOS and make sure you have CD-ROM set as a boot device... I usually set it as the second boot device right after the Floppy and right before the Hard Drive.... Stick the CD in, reboot, hit a key after POST, and it will boot up and install.
