OK .. here's the scoop! My Bally Night Rider (electronic not EM) goes
through this startup:

1. Turn on power
2. Lights up fine
3. Plays startup Melody
4. No action from the start game button - at all!

What I have done ...

1. Replaced all fuses
2. Ran through the diagnostics ( all fine)

This is driving me bit nuts! Any help?

dirty or acid dmaged connector? bottom right of the mpu board, look at
the connector and at the pins on the board. had this happen on a Harlem
Globetrotters a while back.

Goes into diagnostic's, just fine? What did switch test tell you?
Clear the outhole. Flashing "0"? Hold in some switches and see what
happens on the display. The credit button is in the switch matrix.
Then start wiggling connectors. Do the easy way first.

I have one in the shop right now about ready to go out. I love these
early games. Takes most of the guesswork out. Nice for a change to
get away from a WPC.

Good thought! Have someone hold in the credit button, while you wiggle the
connector. John

Kevin: That game does NOT have a free play mode... unless you've burned a
special U6 for it.

So if Credit button is seen in switch test (switch 06 I believe) then Do
you have credits in the credit display????????
if not turn game off then on and then try tripping the coin switch a couple
times to put some credits up.
then try again.

Regards, Dallas...
