1. Start up a different browser(Chrome, Opera, etc)
2. If it is NOT the default browser, then it willl pop up a dialog box asking if you want to make it your default browser.
3. choose "yes".

This will reset your default browser so that you won't be using firefox, unless you start it up manually.
