Hi All,

i have a problem with that soft. i can't flask a mpeg2 file superior than around 3GB, is someone has a clue about? the software don't recognize the size (in that case i have tested a 4.6GB & a 8GB size mpeg2 files & the soft said that it was only a 1MB size file).

i have also tried Xmpeg but in that case that soft don't even load the mpeg2 video file.

what can i do apart trying splitting it into several small files?

thanks for any clue. i have searched among alot of softs & plug-ins but i am a bit tired about.

note: i used the new DivX 5.02 compressor which works very fine with almost no degradation of the 720x576 MPEG2 video which involves a compression ratio between 1:4 to 1:10 (between the input & the output file) in function of the mpeg2 video file translated to DivX into 720x576@25 frames@MPEG3 Audio 96Khz 44100khz stereo.

thanks again for any help. (my 3 40GB hds are full & i need to translate those files ASAP)

i've plugged my home blower to my case ... dunno what happen ... that works?!?

Why in the world do you have such big files??? The vob's on dvds are normally limited to 1MB. You may be running into an OS problem. Anyway go to http://www.doom9.net and check out Nandub. I use Fair Use but FU will not work unless you have the original dvd. FU does not work on home recordings or "rips". I've never used it but you might check out G-knot. A lot of folks like G-knot.

Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire.
