Dual channel memory

I picked up a Poweredge 400sc that came with 2 mismatched PC2100 256
Meg Chips, so no dual channel operation. My question is should I spend
the money and replace the old chips? What about going with one 512 Meg
chip? What's the performance difference? I use my computer for office
apps and 'net access...no games or heavy graphics.

TIA for any advice.

Don't bother. For your applications, you won't notice it. A single 512 would
also run single channel.
