Black Screen at start up

Last response: in Windows 7
Share

Hello,
this afernoon, I turned on my computer and windows started up got my password in and reached my desktop. After a minute it crashed to a blue screen. I then restarted windows in safe mode. I cleanup my computer w/CCleaner and restarted normally. Again it crashes to a blue screen. It a system restore, but I notice that the night previously their was a window update. Now I tried to get into safe mode to run a virus scan and all I get is a black screen. What the heck that I do to screw my system. Please some advise.

thanks brett for answering my call for help. Now what I did was to disconnect my radeon 7850 and connected to the VGA port on the MB. restarted my computer and started hitting F8 I finally got to the where I was able to get to the option for repairing windows. Now do I now do a system restore to an earlier good period. If so, do I dn load updated gpu drivers and find out what were the windows updates for.
