Hello ppls,
I am just making a new computer and i was wondering if a Asus P4PE motherboard would be powerful enough to run a 2.4Ghz P4 with 800mHz hyper therding.
Thanks

No, the P4PE does not support the 800 FSB P4's. I'd recommend a Springdale or Canterwood chipset-based board instead.

My system: Intel Pentium 4 3.0, 800FSB / TwinMOS 1Gb DDR400 / MSI 875P Neo / Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro / Antec True Power 550W / Western Digital Raptor / Hercules G.T XP /
Samsung DVD / Lite-On CDRW

If you update the bios to the latest revision 1005 you can get up to 230FSB which will support the 2.4C w/ HT. If you plan on OC'ing the CPU to the MAX u'll nedd a better board but for a stock system it will work fine. You will probably have to upgrade memory (unless you already have PC3200 or better) to use it fully but you will have to do that anyway!
