Bios on HP laptop compter

My laptop crashed (have no idea why) and now I can't get it to boot up. The laptop is a HP Compaq NC 6400. When I try to load XP Pro back on it says NO HARD DRIVE. (The hard drive works when hook up to my desktop.) Also I can't get to bios. I have tried ESC., F1,F2, F8, F10, F11. (Nothing Works)

Please .......... ANY HELP

F10 is the key to get into the BIOS with HP's, have you tried a boot CD, UBCD4Win with the F9 boot selection?
