In playable condition. Doesn't have to be spectacular. Willing to
offer $1500 maybe a little more for nicer one. Do not want the episode
1 kit. Just RFM. Would consider a project one depending on price.

You won't even get a broken project one at that price. I've been looking for
almost 2 years. You're looking at MINIMUM $2300 for a working example.

If anyone within driving distance of CT can prove me wrong, I'm on my way :)

I just sold a really nice example for 2350, I mean the cabinet was near
flawless and the playfield was damn near perfect. If you take your
time you could find a really nice example for about 1800-2100 from an
Op or maybe cheaper at an auction.. You doubt that you will get one for
1500, at least not through rgp or mr pinball classifieds, you need to
start pounding the pavement if you want one for that price. RFM's have
been going down in price though, and I think they will continue to go
down in price as ops continue to get rid of them cheap.

I know it's hard to find them for that price. I looked for a long time, then
ended up paying mor than double that for an incredibly nice HUO example with
the SWE1 kit. I know you did not want that, but that's why mine was more.
Without the SWE1, I would guess the price would have been $2700.

With both games, extra plastics, spare motherboard and rom card for the game
swaps, it was $3200. I still think I did ok though.

If you can find one for $1500, I commend you. Seems a little shy of what you
would need to spend, even for a project.

Chris

Start calling operators in your area. You
won't find one here for that amount that
is complete.

I just thought i'd ask :)  I know the better deals are from vendors.
Trying to cover all my bases. and i'm in no rush. If I find it,
great, if not. I have enough machines here to keep me content ;)

Doubtfull. Most of the Rfm's I have seen on ebay are thrashed. You
should have bought one if they were such agood deal although they were
still $500 over your price limit. Did those machines sell or was that
the final bid amount without selling? Good luck finding one for $1500.
They are more valuable than you think. If you do find these $1500 RFM's
let me know I will buy at least one myself and I already have a huo
machine.

Good luck also with your Mr. Pinball ad wanting to trade your Dr. Who
and Funhouse for a MM! Hey, it doesn't hurt to ask.
