Black screen with blinking cursor

Hello,
i have a IBM 600e. i put a new HD in it and put the windows xp disc in and it formated the HD and copyed windows to it then when it restarted and came back on it goes to a black screen with a cursor that doesnt move and you cant type anything there...HELP!!!

Could be a bad install or an incorrect partition format (i.e. FAT32 instead of NTFS). Try another format using NTFS as the preferred formatting and then install it again.
