I have XP sp2, in IE I am getting a bannere ad that is on my home page of
http://www.yahoo.com/old, how do I get rid of the banner ad at the top of the
page? I have run MS anti spyware, Norton,Ad-Aware SE and CCLeaner and I am
still getting the banner. I have cleared out my IE temp internet files,
history and just about everything that I can think of. Can I do it through
the script code or is it in regedit?

Kelly,
Thanks for the help!! I think that between Norton, Spyware Guard,Spy
Blaster,Ad-Aware SE, CCLeaner and MS anti spyware I just might have a handle
on it. It was just an annoying ad for casino gambeling at the top of the
page above the yahoo logo, that I have never been on but anyway thanks for
the help and the links!

A good host file should take care of it.

I am not that savy on the lingo so your going to have to be patient with me,
what is a host file and how would it be different from good to bad?
