Pixels changingto red when screen raised

When I open my laptop a little bit the screen appears fine (bout a 35 degree angle), but when I open it to where it is actually usable (90 degree angle) manyf the pixels on the screen will turn reddish. would this be a screen problem or a graphics card problem?

Could be the connector cable for the screen is cracked.
