cpu upgrade

I am new to the forum and i am looking to upgrade my P4 1.6. It is a 478 pin model running on an ECS mobo with a bus speed of 400Mhz. i have searched the forum and found a lot of info just wondering if anyone can confirm the maximum speed P4 i can install. Will i need to change anything else when i do the upgrade. Thanks for any advice.

Post the model number of your ecs board. Or simply check the ecs website and look for any bios updates and cpu info. You shouldn't have to change anything. The board should auto detect the new cpu.
