Hello,
I have a IBM Thinkpad T41, with Windows 7 installed, it has the symbol for wireless LAN on the screen surround but I can't get the device to show up in device manager, I tried installing the drivers as per the instructions, all the reading i've done suggests it does have it, how do I get it to operate? it doesn't show up in the adapter settings either
Thanks

You have to go into the bios to set it to enabled.

Get an external adapter for it, T41 and 42 models have a funky wifi issue that it does not detect the wireless adapter at times, you have to change the power settings to full power in the BIOS.

And the T41 wireless is not very good for connecting to any modern wifi standards. Spend $15 and get a new wifi card.
