Ok, this just started to happen tonite, as far as Iknow. My system specs are at the end of this post. Whenever I run SYSEDIT, my system crashes as soon as I move my mouse and I get BSOD with a fatal except at vxd VWIN32. The only thing that I did to my pc today was to go into the BIOS and disable S.M.A.R.T, which I read can mess around with your system when its enabled. What I want to do is to remove drivers that I accidently installed in my autoexec.bat file. They are DOS CD-ROM drivers that I dont see a need to run every time 98 starts up.
I know I can open the file in notepad and edit it, but what could cause this. What is this file (VWIN32.vxd), I ran System File Checker and extracted the file from the 98 CD, but it didnt change anything. Also, why is it that when I search for the file it doesnt sheo up anywhere on my hdd?
