Ok I just received my new XP 2400 CPU from newegg.com Well there's a sticker on the part of the processor where the L1 / L2 / etc etc cache is.

I started peeling the sticker off and it comes off cleanly except I noticed that there is sticky residue left behind by the sticker. Is this harmful for my chip, or conductive in any way?
