One of the games I picked up once had duct tape where an insert used to
be. Did it's job of stopping the ball from falling through... I
guess...

Big job, but it's looking good so far. It will be interesting to see
the results. How accurate is the overlay? It couldn't be worse than
what you started with.

Normally I get sad when people sand off perfectly restorable playfields
to sticker, but...

Your EBD field gets the "Ow, my frickin' eyes" award for the week.

Me too. I explored touchup but when that much of the main part of the
playfield is just wood, and splintery rough wood at that, there's not a
lot than can be done without overspending the value of the game. I was
hoping for a Canadian playfield repro but we all know which hole that
enterprise fell into!

Also, almost every one of the pool ball light inserts in the lower PF
was loose enough to fall out when the PF was turned over! I used almost
a whole 2 oz bottle of thin CA getting those back in tight!

It's from Fabulous Fantasies, $200.

The overlay seems to be bang-on in my test fits. It does seem to be a
darker color scheme than the original PF. My game is a very early one,
it came with the white bumper caps and red posts. I suppose there were
more than one run of PFs done as there were a lot of EBDs made.

Absolutely!

Your guide has been a great help in finally getting this done. Thanks
again for providing such a comprehensive tutorial on the subject. I even
found the Lemon Chiffon paint in the Crafts section at Sprawl-Mart for
44 cents. It's close enough right out of the bottle, especially when you
consider all that area is covered by the upper arch plastics.
