just put in a barton 2500 on a7n8x 2.0 , wow nice chip ,
all I did was set the muliplyer to 12 and its a XP2700 @2.0ghz , leaving bus at 166
so far I made no other adj . yet , I set it back to spec for now . Also it only raised my temp by 2-3 deg C.
its under a slk800u so I have plenty of room to go higher
this may be the next chip to o/clock like the 1700xp

For less than $100, it certainly is a good deal. For $175, the 2.4c pIV is even better given that it can go to 3.0ghz with relatively little effort.

yea , But I can't afford a new M/board also ($300+ , for CPU & board) , Already using Nforce 2 board , Probably
Intel will be the next upgrade if they keep performing the way they are currently.

Splendid
The P4 at twice the price is a good deal? And you need PC4000 ram to get to 3 gigs. Also not cheap. But then if you are going to blow all the money to get SSE2 software, total bill wont be more than an extra $1000. Cheap!!!
