ummmm very interesting title. You may not have your CPU fan plugged into your cpu fan header. Make sure that it is A) Plugged into the one indicated in your manual as the CPU_Fan or something like that. B)That your fan is equipped with the yellow line that goes to the sensor portion of the board. If it doesn't have that then the easiest way to fix it is to buy a fan that has one.

Try another CPU fan, I wouldn't dare to mess with a CPU whose fan says it's not running properly.

My system: Intel Pentium 4 3.0, 800FSB / TwinMOS 1Gb DDR400 / MSI *argh* / Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro / Antec True Power 550W / 2x Western Digital Raptor / Hercules G.T XP /
SamsungDVD / Lite-On CDRW

Now I'm not sure what you're talking about...the problems with my motherboard, the MSI 875P Neo?

Yeah I've never had any problems with those memory, in Windows nor in games. The memory I use is 2x512 TwinMOS with Winbond chips, running at CL2.5

maybe it's just some part of your wire is broken or whatever
one of my friend has almost an identical system as mine, my system boot normaly, but everytime he boots his computer, an error msg says "no cpu fan detected" and it says 0rpm in bios
I told him to change fan, but he's too lazy to change..since his system is running fine, I guess no problem then

what is your cpu temperature? If it's ok and the fan is spinning then surely you needn't worry about what the bios tells you about your fan because it's clearly wrong. Some boards have a glitch where they can't recognise cpu fans that operate below a certain rpm level.Having said that, i have only come across that on KT333 boards but you never know.

no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. :]

If everything is working and Asus probe says the fan is spinning within specs you should just go into the BIOS and set the hardware monitor for the CPU fan to ignore... Problem solved

<font color=blue>Its winter now... So how come my CPU temp is still </font color=blue><b><font color=red>55C</font color=red></b>

hmm still dont like error msg. My temp is now idle 50c when running 11x166 and it used to be 43c idle when running @ 11x200 but i blame the summer for that, so its hard to compare !!!
